Shahid - 'Mausam' is a special film for me
Shahid Kapoor might have girls swooning over him for his boyish charm, but as an actor mostly, he has been underrated.

His personal life is highly publicized in gossip columns where his bitter-sweet relation with Priyanka Chopra is discussed.
Shahid Kapoord has given string of flops like ‘Chance Pe Dance’, ‘Dil Bole Hadippa’ and ‘Milenge Milenge’, but he has even managed to give hits like ‘Jab We Met’ and ‘Kaminey’.

His role in ‘Kaminey’ was the best, where his performance in the dual role won him several accolades and critical acclaims.

Even though all critics appreciated Shahid’s performance in ‘Kaminey’ as his best, Shahid Kapoor believes that his best is yet to come with his much matured performance in ‘Mausam’.

Directed by his father Pankaj Kapoor, 'Mausam’ stars Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles. A love story spanning over twelve years, 'Mausam’ narrates the tale of complexities in a relationship.

It has been very tasking for Shahid Kapoor to portray a character that travels from his late teenage years to adolescence. He has four different looks in the film, one of them being of an air force pilot.
Shahid Kapoord is very confident with his performance in ‘Mausam’, he said, “There are lot of films I've done and some performances that are very close to my heart. It will be wrong if I say that I cannot surpass any of my previous performances, especially Kaminey.”

With utmost dedication, Shahid Kapoor has spent over a year preparing for his role in ‘Mausam’. Shahid Kapoor said, “'Mausam' does require complete dedication and that's why I was told by my father, to give my heart and soul to 'Mausam'.”

The actor has all his hopes pinned on the film and believes that ‘Mausam’ has enough potential to satisfy the varied taste of our audience.

Shahid further added, “We've tried to keep Mausam as commercial as it should be because it is an expensive film and has taken a year of my life. Mausam is again a special film for me. How successful it is, time will tell.”
